The Cirencester Half Marathon is one of the Cotswolds’ standout road races, attracting a growing number of participants, spectators, and visitors to the historic market town each year.
As the Cirencester Half Marathon continues to grow, it attracts an increasingly competitive field of elite runners, helping to raise the profile of both the event and Cirencester as a must-visit destination in the Cotswolds.
At the same time, we’re committed to welcoming club runners, fun runners, and casual participants who embrace the spirit of the event and help raise significant funds for a wide range of charities across Cirencester, Gloucestershire, and the UK.
The town has shown fantastic support since the inaugural race, and as we strive to make each year bigger and better, the backing of local businesses and residents is more important than ever. Together, we can create an atmosphere that rivals some of the UK’s most celebrated races.
Let’s give our runners—including those who travel from across the country and beyond—the energy, encouragement, and unforgettable experience they need to cross the finish line.
Join Our Event Team!
You don’t need to be a participant to make a difference! Our Event Support Team is made up of enthusiastic volunteers who help create smooth, fun, and memorable experiences at all our events.
All you need is some positive attitude and some great cheering efforts!
We are looking for people to help with:
- Route Team Leader
- Route Volunteers
- Route Cyclist
- Registration and Shop Support
- Event Break and Build
As well as individuals, we welcome community groups and clubs who can coordinate their own team of volunteers. Your organisation can receive a financial donation for taking part.

Join the Community as a volunteer and make a
difference! Volunteering offers a fantastic opportunity to support the community around you, meet new people and get a sneak peek into the magic that goes into event weekend.
There is nothing more inspiring and motivating than contributing to the experience of others. This event would not be possible without our volunteers and we are happy to offer special perks to those who contribute their time and energy. Our volunteers help with everything from the start line to the aid stations to the post-race festivities.
